Website Privacy Policy
Visitors to our Website are hereby informed that permanent cookies are not placed on their computer hard drive. However, when browsing a Website, a temporary cookie file is stored in their browser memory. It is then deleted automatically as soon as they leave the Website. Transmission of Personal Information
In compliance with the Act respecting access to documents held by public bodies and the protection of personal information, no person may, on behalf of a public body, collect personal information from Website browsers if it is not necessary for the exercise of the rights and powers of the body (Section 64). In addition, no person shall omit to introduce the public body and provide browsers (excerpt from Section 65) with the following information:
- The name and address of the public body on whose behalf information is being collected;
- The purposes for which the information is being collected;
- The categories of persons who will have access to the information;
- The fact that a reply is obligatory or that it is optional;
- The consequences for the person concerned or, as the case may be, for the third person, in case of a refusal to reply;
- The rights of access and correction provided by law.
If you choose to send personal information to us by email, only the information required to reply to your message and ensure follow-up will be used. Electronic messages are processed with the same privacy procedures as those of regular mail.
Personal information is transmitted to another public body only when your request must be directed at such body or if it is required by law. In no case whatsoever is the information used to create user profiles for transmission to private organizations.
Links to Other Websites
The L’Adresse symphonique Website proposes links to some Government of Québec or private organization Websites. Website visitors are informed with a message when they are leaving our Website for another Website. In such cases, information shared is no longer subjected to the privacy policy of our Website, but to that of the external Website.
