“My colleagues from the OSM and myself are happy to see that the construction of the new concert hall is well under way. The opening of this great venue will truly be a landmark of the history of the OSM. After more than 75 years of existence, the Orchestra will play in a world-class hall that will showcase the OSM's brilliant sonic resources.
Every Montrealer and Quebecer is meant to benefit from the new hall, as it will provide them with an exceptional concert experience. The new hall shall appeal to local and international artists due to its outstanding acoustics.
This project is true to the spirit of Montréal, a cosmopolitan city whose dynamic profile is internationally renowned in the cultural area. This hall will also serve as a symbol of the importance culture has in Québec and of the optimism with which this society envisions the future.
Finally, we thank the Québec Government for having believed in this great project and for sustaining its realisation.
We look forward to seeing you in the hall.”
